Bared to You is being touted as the new Fifty Shades of Grey, and there are, in fact, many startling similarities. Sylvia Day’s novel features Gideon Cross and Eva Trammell, two very attractive (because aren’t they always?) young people who meet and fall in love. Like Twilight and Fifty Shades, Bared to You is written in the first person, from Eva’s perspective. Also like Fifty Shades, Bared to You is a steamy contemporary romance. Eva’s just moved from San Diego to New York, and literally runs into Gideon when she shows up at her new office building. The two are instantly attracted to each other, and the rest of the book is about how the two are able to get past their own hang-ups and insecurities until they eventually get their happy ever after.
